The idea for this blog came about on July 29th, 2013. My good friend and dog walking buddy, Mary and I were walking our dogs at one of our favorite sites, Lake Nockamixon. It is the half way meeting point for us and has miles of trails. We were chatting about how much time we’ve spent there and in varying weather conditions! In the year past we had walked during blizzards, ice storms, thunder and lightning and the memorable Hurricane Sandy! We are very dedicated dog walkers and believe passionately that every dog needs to be walked daily for their mental health and well being, not to mention their owners!
We lamented that it was too bad we didn’t have a record of our year and Mary suggested we start then! So, I did. I have a photo or two of each day’s walk. Until now I have not written a word though. I am in the middle of my busiest dog walking season. Yes, I walk dogs for a living. My plan is to document each day with photos and a written entry. If we walk during a hurricane this year, I will have proof!
